  GasketCrossSection.JPG - Cross-section of gasket. I failed to get a section from the cut off piece, shown approximately by cross-hatching in the photo. The intent of the designer of this type of seal is that sealant should only be needed in the sealant groove, which gets squeezed out to meet the car body when the glass/gasket assembly is pressed into the car. Unfortunately, the gap is too wide at some places around the XJ-S back window.
