How to See Photos in Albums

Photos from our recent events are presented here in Web albums created with Jalbum (It's free. see http://jalbum.net).

To see the album for a particular event,  chose an album by clicking on the underlined text, e.g., Jackson's 5th Birthday. That will take you to the album.

Once you have gotten to the main page for an album you will see "thumbnails" of photos in a table of 4 rows and 6 columns. This is called an Index page. If the total number of photos in the album is greater than 24 there will be multiple index pages that can be accessed one at a time.

There are several ways of navigating through the album to see enlarged versions of the photos. The easiest way is use the navigation icons at the top of the main page of the album, to the right of the album title bar. These icons are supposed to look like the controls on things like tape recorders, MP3 players, etc. These can be used to either navigate through the photos one by one, or to start a slide show with all the photos.

For a slide show,  click on the ||> icon. This will start the slide show of all the photos in the album. You can stop the slide show by clicking on the square icon, or it will stop automatically when it gets to the last photo in the album. Once it’s stopped you can get back to the main index page by clicking on the circular icon to the left of the album title bar.

If you want to move through the album at your own pace, use the  > icon to move forward or the < icon to move backwards.

If you want to look only at a particular photo, find it in an index page and click on it. If the wanted photo isn’t on the main index page you will have to look in the others. You get to different index pages by clicking on the numbers that are listed after the word “Page” in the box below the title bar.
